Live From the Frontline ext. PRESS RELEASE

Noble society, Lustre Kings and Project Groundation bring you the 2007 mix CD "Live from the Frontline". This mix CD features some of reggae and hip hop's most prolific producers and vocalists. This is an unprecedented collaboration utilizing the resources of a tightly knit musical family. This project started out as collaboration between Diego Campo (producer, guitarist and founder of noble Society) and Andrew Moon Bain (producer and co-CEO of the Lustre Kings label). Moon introduced N.S. to D.J. Child who is the founder of Project Groundation.

The main objective of this project is to expose our fresh definition of urban reggae and hip-hop, expose the wellspring of talented artists and producers that co-habitate, work and inspire each other within this definition and take its listeners to higher heights.

After realizing the potential of D.J. Child's masterfully executed 2005 project granulation mix CD "Calling all Jah Children", which used tracks solely from the Lustre Kings catalogue, we collectively decided to grant Child access to the wellspring of production and vocal talent within the family. With this rich palette of musical textures and colors to draw from D.J. Child eloquently works his magic on yet another Groundbreaking mix cd "Live from the Frontline".

The list of reggae artists outlined in "Live From the Frontline" speak for themselves. Names like Luciano, Midnite, Khari Kill, Lutan Fyah, Rankin Scroo, Marlon Asher, Princess Menen, Yami Bolo, Natty King and many more. What makes this project innovative and intriguing is the diversity and breadth of talent within this community's producers and upcoming artists, displayed by its member's activity.

Deantoni Parks, a.k.a. Murdock, currently plays in Astroid Power-up! and Kudu. He also toured briefly as the drummer for the The Mars Volta and recorded with Christina Aguilera. He has appeared on the recent John Cale and Me'shell Ndegeocello albums, as well as the DJ Logic album The Anomaly. Deantoni Parks, at 28, stands ready to take his place in the top handful of contemporary drummers in the world.

77 Klash is currently traveling between Brooklyn and Jamaica, steadily carving his name in the stone of dancehall classics. Not only did 77 Klash produced the Skalawah riddim that gave massive 'Hungry Town' deejay Turbulence his #1 hit 'Notorious', he is currently burning up the airwaves in Jamaica with his new 'Swarm' riddim that features artists like Lutan Fyah, Whiskey, Adonai, Vybez Kartell, Natural Black and many more.

Andrew 'Moon' Bain, a.k.a. Digital Ancient, has produced and released records with many of the conscious reggae stars of today; Capleton, Sizzla, Luciano, Anthony B., Natty King, Yami Bolo, Jah Mason, Turbulence, Norrisman, Spragga Benz, Determine, Natural Black, Lutan Fyah, Midnite, Niyorah, Ras Attitude, Marlon Asher, Jah Dan, Noble Society and many more. Digital Ancient has been active in the Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall music scene for ten years strong, and has played a key role in coordinating this project.

DJ Child, founder of Project Groundation Massive (PGM), has done award winning mix tapes with Sizzla Kalonji, Lutan Fyah, Richie Spice, The Virgin Islands Movement, Natty King, Jah Dan & numerous others. He was rated the Bay Areas "Best Mix tape DJ of 2006" (East Bay X-press), received 3rd best reggae album of the year for 2006 in Riddim Magazine (only mix tape to be included in the top 10), and also won "Best Mix tape of 2006" (Riddim Magazine---PGM vol. 21). While mix tapes have often been regarded as "bootlegs", Child continues to push innovation within the industry, showing that, with the artists as his allies and a strong camp of like-minded individuals, the voice of the streets will be heard.

Nick Fantastic scored big with his "Hard Times" riddim, co-produced by 'Gibbo' reggae legend Joe Gibbs' son. The riddim released in 2005, through VP/Atlantic Records, sold well over 30,000 copies with big tunes from I Wayne, Capelton, Bascom X, and Luciano. The "Hard Times" has undoubtedly become a reggae anthem for years to come. This year, Nick Fantastic is flexing his musical chops again with various releases on the Lustre Kings label as well as placing a track on the Sony/BMG release of Collie Buddz entitled "Let Me Know".

Nick Kasper has produced and collaborated with artists such as Joe Budden, KRS-One, Charles Paul, Jah Dan of Nobles Society, Redman, Black Rob, Mary J. Blige, Cam'Ron and many more. He has performed live with international stars like Black Eyed Peas, Busta Rhymes, Ice T, Kool Kieth, and N'Dea Davenport. His dynamic feel and prowess on the keyboards can be seen regularly as he plays with Deantoni Parks in the band KUDU.

Diego 'Fuego' Campo is the founding member and chief producer of Noble Society. His innovative sound and Flamenco background have given Noble Society its unique worldly blend of urban and classically rooted music. He has collaborated with such artists as Jan Dan (Noble Society), Delia (Noble Society), Denton Parks (Murdock, kudu, Noble Society), Digital Ancient a.k.a. Moon (Lustre Kings), 77 Clash, M1 (Dead Perez), David Banner, DJ Obsession, Sylvia Gordon (kudu), Midnight, Steele (Cocoa Brava), Lutan Fyah, Khari Kill, Yami Bolo, Sizzla, Johnny Osbourne, Ras Attitude, Natty King, Niyorah, Joe Tomino (DUB TRIO), Princess Menen, Marlon Asher, Afu Ra, Lisa Harris, Nick Fantastic, Marco Benevento, Adam Deitch, Allele Shaw, Alkali Jamal Haynes, Diya Campo, Pf Cutting', DJ Spooky, DJ Kava, DJ Gravy and more.

Jah Dan is lead singer and co-producer of the band Noble Society. He is internationally known for his presence on the classic "Sound Bwoy Buriell" and "D&D soundclash" as well as his features with Branford Marsalis, DJ Premier, Dead Prez, Bootcamp Clik and various singles on the Lustre Kings label. Jah Dan's work with the acclaimed Noble Society, his solo works, and his features with other prominent artists, can all be heard getting consistent play on radio and satellite stations around the world. Jah Dan also played a key role in organizing and pulling together the team to execute this project.

All of this undoubtedly culminates into a strong resume for any genre-defying (defining) album. Watch out for the full-length album coming from Noble Society this fall entitled 'Take Charge', and the solo effort form Jah Dan to follow entitled 'Babylon Nightmare'.
